Do You Hurt?

Do you hurt

Where do you hurt?  How long has it been going on?  Do you even notice anymore?  What do you do about it?

Most of us live with some kind of pain, most of the time.  Many people have debilitating, chronic pain; even the healthiest have aches and twinges.  Most of us just ignore it and keep on going.  We have to.

Pain is a message.  It's your body saying, 'Yo!  Dude!  There's a problem, here!  Pay attention!  Yo!' 

When you ignore it, it gets louder.  You might take a pill.  That shuts it up for awhile. 

Some pain can't be fixed.  That doesn't mean you have to hate your body.  Sometimes you can just sit and listen to it.  Notice what you're feeling, where you're feeling it, what that says to you.  Don't try to change it or make it go away.  Just be there.  Listen to the message.
