Move!

The verdict is in: your chair is your enemy.

Sitting all day is one of the worst things you can do for your body.  Not only do you burn fewer calories while sitting still than by standing, walking, stretching or even fidgeting; sitting for long periods of time slows down your fat metabolism. 

So take a break from sitting, whether you are typing out a great novel or watching television.  Take the stairs instead of the elevator.  Go get a drink of water.  Walk around the block.  It's the tiny things that add up.
